Lomax Miller Family Reunion 2009
Come celebrate 80 years since the first Lomax Miller reunion in 1929 !!!!
We are holding the 80th anniversary reunion back where it all began (almost). We have reserved the Overlook Lodge Conference Center at Camp Comeca in Cozad NE (close to Kearney where the original reunion was held) for Friday June 26th through Sunday June 28th 2009. You won't want to miss this one. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet and reacquaint with cousins young and old. Some group activities we are planning include a hayride, to reenact the famous covered wagon trip, a human family tree, an excursion to Kearney, take in some pioneer history at the Harold Warp Pioneer Village, a celebration dinner, and other activities that we are just waiting for you to suggest.
Plus there will be lots of time to enjoy the camp and its facilities. The facilities include an indoor Olympic size swimming pool, hot tub and gymnasium. The camp offers canoeing, paddle boating and fishing on beautiful Midway Lake. Below the camp, in Adventure canyon, you will find a ropes challenge course, archery, and a 9 hole Frisbee Golf Course! Other activities include tennis, horseshoes, sand volleyball and softball.
Following the reunion is an optional hiking trip to Fort Robinson State Park in northwest NE. Several families are planning to drive to Fort Robinson State Park. You would need to make your own arrangements for this. We can help connect those interested in going to Fort Robinson so you can coordinate your plans. Information about Ft. There are also options to come to the camp earlier if you want to extend your trip in that way. Contact me if that interests you as those arrangements will need to made separately.
